Interesting...

Society and the way we view media has definitely changed multiple times over the past few decades. Initially with the introduction of inexpensive home video cameras and computer editing platforms...and now with camera phones that everyone carries around in their pockets that can even broadcast a live video stream directly to the internet with services like Qik.com, etc...
